I have really not wanted to resort to poison and decided to try and mow. Well this area has now been mowed three times and it doesn’t take long for thistle to get a hold. I think with dry spell and high heat we are having that they will now start to slow down.

In places the thistle was at least 7 feet tall and I even had to resort to buying a brush blade for the weed eater – even the heavy gauge line was not enough.

Anyhow, the tractor is still fun and not a chore so we got the job down with a smile, albeit a beat up back.
