Having moved into the new house has opened the opportunity to go for more frequent walks which has benefited both the dogs and myself in help raising the fitness levels.
I have been taking the 2 year old Rottweiler (who is really just a big puppy in many respects) for walks in the morning and then both dogs for a walk in the afternoon. The morning walks with one dog has allowed me to take lopping shears with us on walks and cut down cedar trees as we go about our business. Pasha (the Rottweiler) is always close at hand to help grab the cedar tree and ‘assist’ as I try and cut it close to the ground. During Match we managed to cut at least 50 trees down to the ground (I lost count after 50).
As we move into what we hope to be a wetter April (at least wetter than March) I want to incorporate weed and fire-ant control in our walks.
