WIldlife at pond. Pond is still holding water but sadly it is now starting to lose the battle but it is still serving many wildlife species as evidenced by all the footprints in the surrounding area (I need to get a book to help me identify footprints). We so...

Water Tank filling
After cleaning of white tank we filled both water tanks. The large tank with rainwater collection was also down to its last 80 gallons so needed a top up.
Bird Feeding
During August and September we were most fortunate to have both our sets of parent visiting. Much fun was had replenishing the birdfeeders.
Cleaning Water Feeders
South End water feeder was starting to suffer from all the crud in the water – pulled it out, soaked in vinegar and now we are good to go – nice clean and steady supply of water.

Strip Mowing
Managed to get 8 hours of tractor seat time in this week mowing down broomweed before they seed. Land always looks so nice after a ‘haircut’

Snakes!
We don’t get to see many snakes although we know they must be out there. Some images of Garter and Rat snake.
