Just north of old barns amongst cedar and live oak trees is a shaded area that holds water and is proving to be a popular hangout for butterflies.

Wildlife Images
Various morning and afternoon shots of turkey, deer and bird on nest box. Was out walking the dogs and checking on the water tank when Pasha (the Rottweiller) came across a snake which rapidly scooted into the tank (pond). After a couple of minutes the snake poked its head...
Pond Restoration – Images
Took some macro photos of insects and bugs in wildflowers growing along edge of newly restored pond edge. Amazing how much life there is in such a little space!
Fall Sunsets
Managed to get some more sunset photos this last Saturday. If all goes according to plan then this should be the view from entertaining areas and pool with new house. Time to start breaking ground ….
Pecans!
Been wondering if we’d ever see Pecan nuts. They’re pretty hard to see, but at last they are there. See if you can see them – there’s a cluster of three.
Trail Camera
Still have to find the right spot to setup the cameras. I am finding that they are very sensitive to tree limbs moving due to wind. We presently have two cameras installed both with night time (infra-red leds) capability.
Relaxation/Therapy
Moved some brush piles today – excellent therapy by the way. One of the brush piles was about 7 feet high and took several runs to move it – Really glad I went for 4 wheel drive version. Really amazing how simple the machine is, yet how capable. Also...
Old Barns and farmhouse pictures
We are planning on framing the lighter tone (and textured) images and hanging in bunkroom in old farmhouse – a reminder of it’s working days. These barns have incredible character and we are really undecided on what to do with them. We will definitely be keeping some of them....
